THE MILK + HONEY ART PROJECT [Delray Beach, Florida]
Designer and founder of multifaceted organization bringing art instruction, academic tutoring and creative expression to children aged 2.5-17 of various ethnicities and economic strata. Facilitator of student art shows at local community centers, workshops with local artists, and exchange learning programs designed to bring students of different income, social, and cultural situations together to study, learn, and create art together. Summer and holiday programs include experiential learning day trips to regional botanical gardens, nature preserves, and world renown art exhibits and conventions such as Art Basel:Miami.
SENIOR HONORS THESIS University of Colorado [Boulder, Colorado]
Awarded academic grants to research, document and participate in the rebirth process of Post-Katrina New Orleans. Documentation and research was based in photography, story-collecting, and grounded in interdisciplinary academic theory including Ethnic Studies, Critical Race Theory, and Visual Arts. The final thesis was published as book entitled A Funeral of Rebirth, Using Art to Honor and Celebrate Post-Katrina New Orleans (2006), and was the first visually-based honors thesis to be recognized by the University of Colorado’s department of Ethnic Studies. Thesis was awarded honors of Summa Cum Laude.
ALLY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM University of Colorado [Boulder, Colorado]
Launched and directed University sponsored organization to train and sustain students wishing to serve and support an ethnic, economic, or gender groups other than their own. Program offered training seminars, workshops, cross-cultural community gatherings, and peer support.
BLUE RIBBON COMMISSION University of Colorado [Boulder, Colorado]
Appointed by University’s President to contribute expertise as student leader involved in multiculturalism, LGBTQ, and gender equality. Commission was created to review and make recommendations regarding campus climate, programming, curriculum, and outreach/retention of low income and underrepresented students

Responsible for organizing multimedia art shows, community-based art projects, virtual conferences, artist workshops, after school art , design, and architecture programming, the Festival of the Arts, and three visual arts field trips each year. Lead visual art teacher for Summer Fine Arts Camp.
